Jan, Arabia, Paula and Nil think they already know everything there is to know about bees, those little flying insects that produce honey and have a terrifying sting. What they can’t imagine is what the planet would look like without the work of bees.
Result: Through virtual reality they discover a world without bees, which turns out to be unexpected and much less pleasant than we anticipate. Therefore, they ask all children and parents for their help, to secure the life of bees.
Recent studies warn that 40% of pollinating invertebrates are in serious danger of extinction. In the case of bees in particular, 37% of European swarms are declining. The cause of this decline is due to the use of pesticides and insecticides in agriculture, which are killing bees.
The solution to this issue is a ban on these harmful products, which are harmful to pollinators, who are indispensable for the maintenance of our ecosystems and biodiversity. This can be achieved through a massive collection of signatures, which will make it possible to exert pressure on governments to ban the use of these insecticides and to promote organic farming. Thus, ensuring the preservation of bees.
