Result: With the audiovisual production of #PlayActDance, the third and last part of ‘Always Barcelona’ campaign, we’ve given back the focus to the talent, the innovation and the musical creativity of the city, which contribute to the social and economic ecosystem in Barcelona.
Sónar is one of the most important electronic festivals in the world, which combines the most well-known and emerging but promising artists. One of the keys that make Sonar so renowned, is the convergence between music and technology, turning both of them co-protagonist of more than fifty concerts celebrated in Barcelona. Taking advantage of this situation, the city turns its efforts to highlight the major role that music plays in the city, essential for economic development. #PlayActDance was able to reclaim Barcelona’s creativity and boost internationally its reputation.
#PlayActDance is an important part of the choral campaign ‘Always Barcelona‘, created to strengthen the city image and started in February with the Mobile World Congress. During those four days, the motto #ShareLikeFollow was distributed across the city.
| Commitment to local talent
One of the keys of Sonar’s success is its capacity to balance its actions between big names of electronic music and less known artists but with great prospects for the future. #PlayActDance is in favour of Barcelona’s talent and, according to the festival’s philosophy, was able to count with artists such as El Último Vecino, Heather, Alizzz, Pedro Vian, Awwz and Maria Arnal &Marcel Bagés.
